Welcome to the Vale of the Red Horse Shepherd Huts website!
My name is Vicky Merriman-Warne and I am the owner of the beautiful hut you will have the pleasure of staying in! I am Warwickshire born and bred, although I have ventured a small distance to live in other counties, I have always been drawn back to delightful Warwickshire and this is where I have set my roots, since my mid-twenties.
Between myself and my two children, Jemima and Finlay, we will make your stay as comfortable as possible, in our unique Shepherds Hut and will endeavor to meet your needs as best we can.
We have a menagerie here at Avon Avenue, which reflects my love of creatures great and small, with our 15 chickens (each having their own name), providing you with fresh eggs for your breakfast, our handsome cockerel, whom may be your wake up call, our Border Terrier, Brownie, who will greet you with great excitement, our ponies (we have 4 in total), who may be having a short stay in the garden from time to time and last but by no means least, our tortoise Tabitha, whom I’m afraid will only grace you with her presence, when she feels like it!
I will ensure your stay will be as enjoyable, as I would expect my stay to be and can provide you with plenty of recommendations of eateries, in and around the Vale of the Red Horse, things to do and places to visit, if required.
Otherwise we can just leave you to relax and enjoy the area of outstanding natural beauty.
And finally who could resist, a traditional home-cooked breakfast, served at a time convenient to you, made with all local supplies, with tea and coffee a plentiful, you just need to ask! I want to make sure you have a pleasurable experience with us!
